Chapter One Finished

Finally! And you still have no idea what's going on, right? I need to work on getting to the story faster, ha.

Still, I'm pretty much done with this webcomic. I think I'll work on it again once i get settled into a new job and have slept for a few months and feel like doodling again. But if I choose to share any future developments, it won't be in a webcomic format. I can't really think of any other format, since it's pretty plain that no one pays for comics anymore, either print -or- digital, but I'm tired of working so hard for so little (not just talking money here). I know, I could work less hard. That's what they told me in my former professional comics capacity as well. But it's not in me to do shoddy work.

SDCC 2012: Recap and Sale

Tired of cross-posting. (Or just tired.) Go read this news here.

SDCC 2012 – IMMA GONNA BE THERE!

Correction: I got a California temporary sellers permit, so I am pretty sure that means I can sell comics at SDCC. So if you are at SDCC on Thursday and come by the deviantArt table, you may be able to buy one! :D

I am going to San Diego Comic Con on deviantArt's emerging artist scholarship! [DeviantArt SDCC 2012 Artist Alley]

I will be there for one day only: Thursday, July 12. I am not selling anything (permit issues), but I will have a table and you can visit me. :)

I am really excited. I am really anxious. I am sure it will be awesome/terrible/distracting. :P

Free Comic Book Day 2012

I'm giving away all my digital copies for FREE today only to celebrate Free Comic Book Day!

Webcomics Panel March 29

If you haven't heard, my comic, The Locked Maze is being featured at the Henry Art Gallery's webcomics exhibit now through June 30th.

The gallery is also hosting a pre-ECCC panel this Thursday, March 29th, at 7:00pm. It is free for students and only $5 for everyone else. I will be there, although probably frozen in fear and mute with horror at the crowds (they are putting a MIC on me... eek!), and I will bring lots of free bookmarks and prints, so be sure to say hi after! :)

Formatting Change

I've been dissatisfied with the one page display, because I drew all the pages as two-page spreads and they just don't look right on their own that way. So I am changing over to a two-page display. However, I will continue posting at the pace of half a spread each week (I am not fast enough otherwise!). On odd-page weeks, you won't get a new web page, just the full-spread update to the prior week's image.

I made some minor changes to the site to accommodate the new sizing, but it's a hack job at present. I will do something more permanent when 1.2 is out.

Project Wonderful Ads Are Back

I switched to google ads last year because I have never made any money at PW (but then I never made any money on google either...). i think Project Wonderful does work great as a sort of low-effort link exchange, since so many webcomic artists use it and it is so cheap. So I've added them back to my sites. They are currently only on the home and comics pages, although if I find the time I will dig into the theme code and add them to the other pages as well... :/

So, if you want to advertise on Maze or here on Rotsterarsil, now you can. At least until I get sick of it again. :P

OMG I Have a Website Already!

I did think about putting this off until after I finished Issue 1.1, but I needed to get the DNS before I announced the title, and then I wanted a placeholder... and, well, OCD got the best of me, and then I made this whole site over the weekend. :P

I plan to start posting pages at the end of January, and will simultaneously offer a print/digital complete copy of Issue 1.1 at the same time (motivation to buy it! see, I am thinking about marketing!). In the meantime, I will probably work on fleshing out the about page and gallery page.
